Batson Associates gives thanks for the Poor Clares of Travelers Rest

In celebration of 40 years in business, Batson Associates is giving back to organizations each month in 2022. For January, Batson Associates gave thanks for the Poor Clares of Travelers Rest by hosting a dinner at the monastery to express gratitude for their prayerful presence in the community. The dinner included the Poor Clares’ favorite dishes along with a surprise nitrogen-infused gelato for dessert!
The Poor Clares are “dedicated to a life of contemplative prayer, evangelical poverty and life in community” and their “mission and ministry is prayer, interceding for the needs of our sisters and brothers throughout the world”.
Batson Associates Chairman, Louis P. Batson III, and his family have a relationship spanning sixty- eight years with the monastery. In April of 2008, the Poor Clares relocated to a new monastery, designed by Batson Associates, on McCauley Road in Travelers Rest, SC.
