Batson Associates' COO Celebrates 20th Anniversary
Batson Associates, a leading architectural firm in Greenville, S.C. since 1981, celebrates the 20th anniversary of the company’s Chief Operating Officer, Geordan Terry, AIA, LEED-AP.
Since 2003, Terry’s exemplary portfolio has spanned the Southeastern United States and his impact on others has been equally as impressive. Skilled as an architect and leader, he has been integral in the growth of Batson Associates throughout his tenure. “Geordan consistently demonstrates the characteristics and qualities I have envisioned for the firm since 1981. He is a great architect by any measure. He demonstrates leadership and the ability to quietly deliver service beyond our clients’, our consultants’, and contractors’ expectations. Most importantly, he has developed relationships and connections necessary to bring in work – the key to our continued sustainability,” said Louis Batson, founder of Batson Associates. He went on to describe the quiet tenacity that Geordan, his friend and partner, pours into his calling and how that drive propels others to be their best.
Terry attributes his success to being part of a team that is driven to realize the potential in every project, not just the design, but the personal relationships that grow from each encounter. He believes projects should not be judged on their size, but rather on the enhancement and enjoyment of relationships with clients.
