Batson Associates Expands Healthcare Access with New St. Joseph’s/Candler Campus
Batson Associates Completes Phase 1 of St. Joseph’s/Candler Black Creek Campus
Batson Associates, a leading healthcare and senior living architecture firm, continues to make a lasting impact on the Southeast with the completion of Phase 1 of the St. Joseph’s/Candler Black Creek Campus in Bryan County, Georgia. In collaboration with St. Joseph’s/Candler, Batson Associates played a pivotal role in designing the new medical office building, which will officially open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, April 10th.

Based in Savannah, Ga., St. Joseph’s/Candler is the largest healthcare system in southeast Georgia and has been actively expanding outpatient access for patients across the region.
The new single-story facility, approximately 12,000 square feet, will enhance healthcare access for Bryan County residents. The expansion includes 5,200 square feet for clinical space including an Urgent Care, 2,200 square feet of office space for the Development Authority of Bryan County, 4,500 square feet of shell space for future medical services and additional common areas designed to foster patient comfort and operational efficiency.
Designed with a modern aesthetic and functional efficiency, the facility features a prominent three-story tall entrance element, which will anchor a future building expansion. Thoughtful design elements include a covered drop-off, the integration of modular DIRTT walls by National Office Systems, enhanced landscaping features by Wood and Partners including an ‘outdoor office,’ ensuring both aesthetic appeal and practical durability.
